Prime Energy sponsors FRC Team 27 Team RUSH so students can design, build, and compete. That is community engagement — not a claim that we manufacture robots or cells.

Awards from seasons we are proud to have enabled
Team RUSH is Clarkston High School's Hall of Fame FRC program. Not every thank-you frame is a state title. These are the championship awards from the partnership that began in 2021.
2022 — Michigan State Champions
RUSH won the FIRST in Michigan State Championship. The framed “2022 State Champions” photo is on the thank-you table at Prime Energy.
2024 — Michigan State Champions
RUSH took the FIRST in Michigan overall state title again — another championship season with Prime Energy behind the team.
2025 — DTE Division Champions
RUSH won the DTE Energy Foundation Championship field. That is a division championship, not the overall FIRST in Michigan state title.
2026 — Michigan State Champions
RUSH won FIRST in Michigan again, finishing the state championship undefeated. The glass trophy from that season sits with the earlier frames in Troy.
2021 & 2023 — Thank-you seasons
The 2021 team photo starts the display. The 2023 “Thank you for your Support” frame marks another year of backing the program — not overall Michigan state championships.

Community engagement does not stop at robotics weekends. Interns in Troy work with their hands — assembly, testing, and documentation — next to engineers who already walked a similar path, including Lawrence Technological University alumni on the Prime Energy team.

Prime Energy includes Lawrence Tech alumni on the team. That Michigan engineering pipeline shows up on the floor: how we fixture a build, how we write it down, and how we teach the next intern to do the same.
Meet leadershipInternships — real workforce experience
This is not observation-only. Interns pick up tools, help assemble and test around customer-supplied sealed cells, and leave with shop habits they can take into a first job. LTU students and other Michigan engineering students are welcome.
