We are hiring
If you like crisp drawings, honest timelines, and the moment a pack wakes up on the bench for the first time — you will fit right in. We are growing the crew that takes customers from architecture through pilot builds and into repeatable contract assembly.
Small enough that your work ships, large enough that you touch real assembly and validation tooling, customer programs, and certification paths. You will sit with mechanical, electrical, and program leads in the same building — fewer handoffs, more ownership.
Internships here mean working with your hands — assembly, testing, and documentation next to the people who ship the work. That is true workforce experience, not a tour of the building. Lawrence Technological University alumni are part of the Prime Energy team, and LTU students plus other Michigan engineering students are welcome to apply. Community robotics work, including Team RUSH 27, is on the Community & Students page.

Own schematics, harness design, and bring-up for modular pack programs — from prototype benches through pilot builds.
ApplyCAD, thermal paths, and enclosure strategy for energy-dense assemblies; tight loop with electrical engineering and assembly operations.
ApplyDrive schedules, risk, and customer communication across multi-disciplinary battery programs without losing the technical thread.
ApplyLaser weld approved external interconnects, terminals and busbar assemblies; fixture builds and first-article support — ideal if you like hands-on work with traceable processes.
